Las Vegas, Nevada – March 08: UFC Director General Dana White holds a press conference after UFC 313 event in … [+]
The loss of three in a row is difficult. Their loss, like Armen Petrosyan, is even tougher, and his painful radius has led to his departure from the UFC.
According to numerous shops referring to UFC officials, Petrosyan’s contract was not renewed after losing his appearance in Brunno Ferreira on March 8 at UFC 313. It was the last struggle for Petrosyan’s UFC contract, and things could not have ended much worse for the 34-year-old Russian.
Before losing in Ferreira, Petrosyan was the controversial recipient of the year from Shara Magomedov to UFC 308 in October 2024. Magomedov went viral when Petrosyan finished with a double rotating backwardness, and the victory began it in the Top 15 in the middle weight.
He would fall after a loss on Michael’s “Venom” site in February.
Before the loss of KO to Magomedov, Rodolfo Vieira handed Petrosyan in the first round of their war in February 2024.
At this point, Petrosyan has not won a war since marking a unanimous decision of victory over Christian Leroy Duncan in June 2023. Things began the promise of Petrosyan in UFC.
He won a place on the main list when he marked his pronounced conclusion on Kaloyan Kolev in the Dana White contenders series in October 2019.
He then scored a victory by a separate decision against Gregory Rodrigues in his main list debut in February 2022.
Petrosyan lost his next fight against Caio Borralho rapidly growing through a unanimous decision in July 2022.
It is unclear what happened to Petrosyan during his next three fights and why he suddenly looked like a fighter competing beyond his depth. After losing his submission to Ferreira, Petrosyan had an expression in his face that he might have hinted that he knew he would only have his last struggle with promotion.
Before going down with UFC, Petrosyan fought with AMC and WCSA. It will be interesting to see if he turns into one of those organizations or if he tries his hand with professional Lights Lights Lights, The Global Fight League or another promotion.
As it is, he will be remembered more in UFC as the boy who received the destructive Magomedov maneuver. This is probably not what the UFC predicted when he was offered a contract after the contenders series.
