Treat yourself with a manicure in Princess Anne’s newest addition, business scene, always growing business: Slaymi nails and lounge beauty.
The lounge led by Timia Ballard’s wife, located in 30505 Prince William 3 road units, celebrated her official official opening on February 22, 2025.
Ballard decided to open her own new business in the city district designed downtown because she considers it the center of Princess Anne.
She hopes to attract clients with her appropriate location and skilled art, the small town of Princess Anne stated in a February 20 news announcement.
“My business is near the College, the University of Eastern Maryland Shore, and many other businesses and local government offices,” she said.
In recent months, Ballard and her team have painted the salon, installed new equipment and lighting, furnished the space and provided the necessary permits and inspections. She received her official business permit on February 13, the release said.
Slaymi nails specialize in nail art. When it comes to the creative side of her work, Ballard likes to design everything from seasonal to personal to the basic ones.
“I aim to satisfy my customers, creating whatever effects they want to achieve. I want to make my customers happy,” she said.
Ballard said her salon would serve people of all ages, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.
“I think of Princess Anne as a community that shows commitment to diversity and passage,” continued Ballard. “Princess Anne has a rich story. I’m extremely excited to be part of that story.”
Words of local nail artist’s advice: ‘Heaven is the limit’
For other owners of small businesses or those who seek to open their own business, the words of Ballard’s tips are: “Never give up your dreams; Heaven is the limit – and always aim to satisfy your customers. “
Ballard encourages people to visit her new salon to see, first -hand, how the nail art design takes shape. She promises that customers will be pleased when they arrive and when they leave.
“My goal is to offer my customers an experience of relaxation and calm,” Ballard said. “I make it a point not to rush the process, making the client feel pet.”
“This is my first business venture. I am very grateful for the support of my family, friends and partners. I cannot expect to see the fruits of our work,” Ballard added.
Since its magnificent opening, Slaymi Nails has been welcomed in Princess Anne’s Main Street County with open winged.
“Over the years, many local community members have expressed interest in having a nail hall in the city center,” said Main Street Princess Manager Anne Carrie Samis. “It ‘is great to see Ballard bring her dream to life. Especillyly especially annoying to see this new black -owned business open during the month of black history.”
Princess Anne now has more black -owned businesses than ever before. Before opening her salon, Ballard worked with another local business – RSC Design – to design the logo and its shops.
“This is the type of synergy we want to see in our community – local businesses that support each other,” Samis said. “This is what the main road has to do – development of community and economics; working together to improve the quality of life in Princess Anne. “
